Preparing for Grand Berlin Launch of European Council on Foreign Relations I Located different voices and contributions which will be most interesting and relevant to interact with. Especially Mark Leonard and Timothy Garton Ash are brilliant - British -guys who should be taken into account for specifying integral strategies for Europe and on a global scale.
Even Thomas PM Barnett referred once in very positive ways to the work of Timothy Garton Ash and I think Jim Garrison -head of State of the World from the American side. should do it too. There can be a transatlantic and global concert of strategists, thinkers, activists, entrepreneurs and characters of all kinds
As Journalists, Think Tanks and Civil society have a unique opportunity to co-shape global agendas next years and decades its really important what Timothy Garton Ash said:
"Foreign Policy is too important to leave it to Politicians. " Exactly. I am adding its too important to leave it to specialists of all kinds, to journalists and consultants.
The homepage of Timothy Garton Ash:
http://www.timothygartonash.com/
Its full of insightful articles, ressources and references. I am looking foreward in creating productive communication with people like him, Mark Leonard and other founders.
Look what Scott McLeod , TIME Cairo Bureau Chief , writes in his Middle East Blog.
Obama vs. Bush: The Great Mideast Debate
No matter if American Politcal Leaders and European Leaders discuss, there is a tremendous window of opportunity to co-shape these agendas. There is power of collaboration which can be most fruitful for example for the Middle East. This collaboration and innovatiove leverage isnt any longer only a Sherpa force. Its- as increasingly even realized at World Economic Forum -directly horizontally located to all executive functions.
Not necessarily immediately but rapidly growing in next years. Thats a call for leadership and political innovation.
